Why become a member?

The Italian Society of Horticulture (La Società di Ortoflorofrutticoltura Italiana - SOI), founded on the 12th December 1953 in Florence, is a non-profit society established to develop scientific and technical cooperation and the exchange of ideas and knowledge between scientific researchers, entrepreneurs, and professionals, and even amateurs engaged in horticultural activities.
The SOI, through its sections, committees, Work Groups, symposiums, publications, mailing list, and website, allows its members to use and develop a rich network of information amongst colleagues with the same interests and professionalism. A member of the Society can quickly be informed about work opportunities, new techniques and scientific acquisitions and have a direct link to researchers and experts ready to supply solutions to questions of interest. The society provides its members with the possibility of sharing information not only on a national scale, but also internationally, through collaboration with similar foreign societies.
